Dear Future STEM Leaders,
STEM is so all encompassing and broad reaching that there is virtually something in it that any of us can find an interest in or passion towards. This field allows you to solve problems, develop new ideas and conduct research. Whether you opt to teach others via education or perhaps develop new technologies, there is something where we all can put our strengths to use for the greater good.
STEM careers become more integral to our world as the years go by. I encourage you, even if this is not something you think you have a passion for, to explore the range of options. I entered my college years with a lean towards the medical field. However, and during what was to be a temporary job, I developed an interest in technology- communication technology to be specific. This has provided me with a tenured career as these technologies have progressed. The best part of this is that I am continuing to learn by the day.
