What I found out about a STEM career…

My name is Albert. I am working in Verizon IT as a software engineer. My education background is however in electrical engineering.
As I found out, you can choose a STEM career to be highly rewarded. It’s challenging and interesting. You can never get bored. In addition, there is job security and plenty of job opportunities.
You can prepare for the career in STEM by taking advanced math and science classes. But most importantly, be curious about everything to do with technology and science. In today world, everything is center around technology especially with the Internet, cell phone, telecommunication network, and online commerce.
Don’t be discourage if you are not good with math and science. Anyone can improve if they put their mind to it. It’s the right aptitude that counts. Be curious and explore the world around you. It doesn’t matter of your gender, racial or social background. Anyone can succeed in STEM career. Do not let people or social media tell you otherwise.
