I hope this note finds you having a great day! I wanted to write and let you know I fully support your choice of choosing a STEM career.
I have a daughter of my own and always want the best for her and encouraged her in education and seeking opportunities at each educational milestone while she was growing up. I am so happy you chose a challenging career field. I welcome and support diversity & inclusion in each STEM field and know that you have so much to offer with future outcomes and opportunities that present themselves to you along the way.
Whether you choose Science, Technology, Engineering or Math I know you will find ways to contribute greatly to these fields of study. Work hard now so that your future self truly appreciates all the efforts you put in and benefits from your good decisions.
I encourage you to be diligent in your studies and form good consistent study habits early on. Try to complete daily goals and targeted efforts. Don’t procrastinate and wait too long where the studies become overwhelming. Gamification is big in technology and helps to compartmentalize work efforts and friendly competition among peers. We use that extensively in Cybersecurity to advance our business outcomes and objectives. I encourage you to do this with your studies and formulate goals/games to reward yourself and your teammates in group efforts.
