The world needs your contributions.
Dear Black Girls Code students,
I wanted to take a moment to encourage and inspire each and every one of you to consider pursuing a career in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). As young black girls, you have the potential to make a significant impact in these fields and help shape the future of technology.
It is no secret that the tech industry is lacking diversity, especially when it comes to women and people of color. By choosing a career in STEM, you have the opportunity to be a trailblazer and pave the way for others who may not see themselves represented in these fields.
STEM careers offer endless possibilities for innovation, creativity, and problem-solving. You have the chance to work on cutting-edge technology, develop new solutions to complex problems, and ultimately make a difference in the world.
I encourage you to embrace your unique talents and abilities, and to never doubt your potential to succeed in STEM. Surround yourself with mentors and role models who can support and guide you along your journey. Remember that your voice and perspective are valuable, and that the world needs your contributions.
So, I challenge you to dream big, work hard, and pursue your passion for STEM. The possibilities are endless, and the future is yours to shape.
Best of luck to each and every one of you on your journey in STEM.
Sincerely,
Ghabi Farran
