Hey there!
My name is Erica and I work for Verizon and have owned Tech Operations for multiple channels within the company. I’d like to first say, I am so proud of you! What a great career you have chosen. I have worked in Tech related fields for many years now and I often find myself as the only female in the room. There are times that you may find yourself in the same situation but be proud of that. Remember that you are smart, talented and you deserve to be in the room. Never be afraid to speak up in those meetings. Never be afraid to challenge the way things work. You may have a better way to do it so make sure you share!
Sometimes you may be challenged and you may think you do not have a lot of people on your side, but know that you have an army of women behind you that want to see you succeed!
Keep encouraging your peers. The more women we have in careers like you have chosen, the better things will be. We need more girls like you!
