I am a black woman, which like yourself, decided to study technology at an early age. School can be challenging and everyone wants to fit in and be a part of. However, going with the crowd allows you to fit in but moves you away from your goal and passion. Stand your ground and be yourself. Others are attracted to confidence. If you believe in who you are and what you are doing others will want to know what you are doing and who you are. I would encourage you not to stand in the crowd but stand above the crowd.
