As a young female professional who just graduated from college last year, I have been in a position of constant change, growth, and learning over the past year. Here are some pointers I have been learning along the way, and still have so much to learn along with you…
Be Resilient! Don’t let other people’s opinions or feelings be the reason that you sit down and don’t speak your mind… it is possible to stand your ground while also trying to understand other people’s point of view. Compromise is always achievable.
Believe in yourself! – Even if you are “new” to the industry/workplace/school does not mean that you cannot bring your own opinions and knowledge to the table. People come from diverse backgrounds which is the beauty of collaboration and creating a diverse team.
Step outside of your comfort zone! – Don’t let the fear of failure be the reason you don’t try something new. Failure always leads to greater success, and is the best outlet to learn.
LEARN! And never stop looking for opportunities to learn and grow – Stay hungry for knowledge and always be curious. Don’t always accept the “status-quo” and question how/why things are the way they are.
