Hi!
My name is Deb and I am a VTeamer at Verizon; a global communications technology company delivering the promise of the digital world to millions of customers every day. I’ve worked at Verizon for 16 years; I started as an agent taking phone calls and have worked hard to advance my career as a strong business woman. I have the privilege to manage a team of 15 system engineers to innovate and deploy software technology to our employees that help them do their job each day. I’m writing to you today as a young woman that may be on the fence about the tech industry to help inspire and encourage you on your journey.

4. Do what you love- find the thing that gets you excited. 5. Don’t get discouraged- keep trying, never give up!
6. Find a good mentor- be open to feedback and coaching!
7. Build your brand and network- relationships are key to success!
8. Be proactive- never wait on someone else, seize opportunities.
9. Be a team player- learn to collaborate, be flexible and adaptable. 10. You can do anything- be confident and trust your gut!
