It is important that you learn how to study.

Hey there!

I am Melanie A working for Verizon Communications Company. I am honored to have the opportunity to share a quick word with you on study tips and tricks.

Studying is an important skill needed not just for school, but for your everyday life. It will help you to increase your knowledge and build your understanding of whatever it is that you may need. For school, it will help you grasp important concepts and do well on assessments and in your professional life it will help you decide on the field and place that you may want to find employment. Once you are out of school, homework does not end. It is important that you learn how to study and do it often.

Some ways to study include using index cards to write the questions and/or topics on one side and the answers on the other side. Writing the information will help you commit it to memory. Additionally, you should use those cards to quiz yourself or ask someone else to quiz you. The more of your senses you can involve in studying the better, so be sure to read the cards out loud so you can hear the information as well.

While studying make sure you are organized and know what you are going to study and for how long. It will help if you have a planned start and end time for studying. This will allow you to study meaningfully without feeling like it is taking forever or feeling like you did not put in enough time.

Make sure you have a quiet place. This means silencing your devices to avoid distractions. Be sure to have a snack before studying and do not study when you are tired. Setting the right atmosphere for a study session is important and no one works well when they are tired and/or hungry. I know I donโ€™t ๐Ÿ˜Š

I hope these tips will help you to be an even better YOU!!! Please note that you are AMAZING, just be sure to let everyone see just how AMAZING you are by being prepared!!!!

Your Friend,

Melanie
