Study, learn, you can do anything if you set your mind to it!
Hey there!
I worked for Verizon, a Telecommunication company. I’m currently a Sr. Manager in Business Transformation. Our work focuses on the issues the business is facing and finding creative solutions, oftentimes, that requires we change the ways we do business so we can improve efficiency and cut out waste.
While I’m not an engineer myself, I worked with a lot of engineers over the years. It’s pretty obvious this is a male dominated field, I mostly saw and worked with male engineers. Once for a while, when I come across a couple of female engineers, I feel excited, as I get to know them, they are really good at what they are doing, and they are good communicators too, they can explain technical issues in simple terms where non-technical people can understand easily.
If you have not taken a science class or a computer introduction class, go head to take one, you never know what you may find. You may find that’s something come very nature to you, and it sparks your interests. If that’s the case, don’t be afraid to get into it, study it. Technologies change the world, we need more engineers and scientists, especially female engineers and scientists, so we can have more diverse ideas and more creative solutions to problems.
