My name is John and I am an Associate Director of technical customer support for Verizon. I have worked in the telecommunications industry for over 10 years, troubleshooting different technology including phone systems, internet service and related equipment, and television services from cable boxes and channel packages to televisions. Technology has always been a passion of mine even as a child, and I would encourage anyone to pursue a career in the technology field.
Solving a problem or issue for someone, no matter how big or small, can make a difference in their life. There is no greater joy than knowing that the work that you have done has positively impacted someone. The ability to use your knowledge and share information with someone is also fulfilling, especially when the receiving party is interested in learning. You have the opportunity to do great things with your career. Whether you want to pursue a path in science, technology, engineering, or math, just know that you can do anything you put your mind to. No matter how tough the road may seem, always do the right thing, always work hard, and always treat people right.
