Get a group of equally motivated study partners.
The best study tip I can give you is to get a group of equally motivated study partners and pick a schedule to meet weekly or as needed. This will really help you when studying for a subject you're not as comfortable with or you may need help with. Review the content before meeting with your group so you can be as proficient as possible. Take notes and ask questions and above all remain positive!!! Remember that the only option you have for yourself is success & the pathway may be difficult but well worth it!!!.

Here are some best practices that helped me.

Make a game out of studying.
Hey there!
I just wanted to give a few study tips for my current STEM student. First tip, use flashcards for studying when it comes to quizzes and exams. The second tip, take study breaks. If you're going to be studying for an hour or more, take a break every thirty minutes. You don't want to burn yourself out. Last but not least, make it fun. Make a game out of studying. It doesn't have to be boring.
Good luck!
Your friend,
Kristen

Hey there!

Hey there TechDiva!
Thank you for reading my letter. I hope you find it helpful.
I’ve had a very rewarding career in business and technology leading a global team, serving as a vice president, Senior Information Officer and a couple other fancy titles. I definitely battled the odds as a mixed race (Asian and European) male with only an Associates degree from our local community college and struggling to find my way in my career in a very conservative industry dominated by white males.

Believe in yourself! Be BRAVE.

The best idea hasn’t been created yet.
Hey there TechDiva!
I hope this letter reaches you in great health and spirit. I am a leader in Verizon Network Operations. I want to encourage you to pursue a career in tech. During the pandemic we saw women leave jobs in large numbers to care for their families and in other cases we saw them leave corporate jobs because they may not have felt like there was a path forward for them. I am here to tell you that there are many amazing opportunities in STEM and we need you to show the world your amazing ideas. Technology is moving at a very fast pace and the best idea hasn’t been created yet I bet it can come from you. To be in STEM you need to study hard and be disciplined around problem solving, science and math. You should be inquisitive and confident that you can do anything you put your mind to. I am proud that you are a part of this program and I know it’s going to offer you the tools and support you need to be successful. I am cheering you on from my desk as I send you this note.

Future tech boss lady.

I’m writing to you today as a young woman that may be on the fence about the tech industry to help inspire and encourage you on your journey.
